Somerset law firm Acorn Solicitors celebrates staff exam success.
Shannon Winslade of Acorn Solicitors in Taunton has been a friendly face at the office for over four years now.
Shannon works in our private client department assisting David Sinclair who is the firm’s senior partner. Together, they assist clients with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorneys, Deputyship and Probate matters.
Before this, she started as a receptionist while completing a Business and Administration apprenticeship in 2014. Having completed Levels 2 and 3 at Richard Huish College, Shannon is now taking her next steps in her journey. She is now training to become a Paralegal with CILEx Law School in her spare time. Shannon Winslade said:
“Acorn has given me a great opportunity to progress over the four years that I have been here. Studying in my own time is hard work but made easier with supportive colleagues and I’m looking forward to learning more and taking on new challenges”.
Shannon’s hard work paid off with the CILEx exam results revealing that Shannon had gained a distinction in the Law of Wills and Succession. Shannon was only 27% of all candidates sitting the exam to receive this fantastic grade. David Sinclair said:
“I’m delighted to see how well Shannon has done. Her dedication and hard work has paid off. Shannon is a vital member of our team and its great working with her and seeing her blossom”
In January, Shannon is set to sit her next set of exams and we all wish her the best of luck!
