Acorn Solicitors, based in the centre of Street and Taunton, have raised nearly £20,000 for charities in the last three years – one of the highest rates in the country. Now Acorn are again writing dozens of Wills as part of UK’s Will Aid, which raises money for charities including Age UK, Christian Aid and Save the Children. Jill Sinclair Partner at Acorn said

“We are offering to draw up basic Wills without charging our usual fee. In return for this service, we hope clients will donate the fee we would normally charge to the Will Aid charities.”

This is the opportunity to give to charity, rather than paying a solicitor. Acorn has become a success story after setting up in Taunton High Street in the recession of 2009 and opening a second branch in Street High Street in 2011. David Sinclair, Senior Partner at Acorn, said:

“We are a local solicitors for local people and want to be an active part of the community, helping people and raising money. We would be delighted to help more people out this time round. Making a Will is one of the most important things people can ever do.”

The suggested minimum donation is £90 for a single Will, £135 for mirror Wills or £40 for a codicil or change to a previous Will. Acorn Solicitors is a local firm ‘Where Your Family Matters’ which specialises in Will drafting and are specialist legal experts.

David Sinclair runs Acorn Solicitors with his mother Jill Sinclair. David is also a national Director for Solicitors for the Elderly which has nearly 1300 members and which exists to help ensure that elderly people have access to top class professional legal advice.
